| Answers to Some of Your Frequently Asked
Questions
- What are your office
hours?
Monday through Friday we open at 7:00am. We close at 7:00pm
Monday through Thursday, and at 6:00pm on Friday. We do ask that
you arrange to pick up any pets from drop-off appointments or
boarding/hospitalization stays at least 30 minutes before closing
times, to allow our staff to complete their end of day
responsibilities.
- Do I have to have an
appointment?
The doctor's hours are by appointment only. We make every effort
to accomodate all of our clients, and while drop ins are certainly
welcome, if the doctor is scheduled for surgery, or has other
scheduled appointments or drop off patients and you come in without
an appointment, we may not be able to see you at that time.
- Can I drop my pet off & pick her
up after work?
Drop off appointments can be made during regular doctor's office
hours. We must have a phone number where we can contact you while
your pet is with us.
- Is someone there through the
night?
Dunn Avenue Animal Hospital is open at 7:00am every weekday.
Patients requiring overnight monitoring will be referred to either
the Animal ER, or the Clay Duval Pet Emergency Clinic, for which
directions, phone numbers, and maps, may be seen under our "For
Emergencies" heading.
- Do you take credit
cards?
Yes- we accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover Card, and American
Express.
- Can I make payments?
Payment is required at the time services are rendered. A deposit
may be required for new patients being admitted to the hospital for
evaluation or treatment.
- What does a physical examination
include?
A physical examination includes the doctor checking your pet's
eyes, ears, mouth, teeth, gums, heart, lungs, and skin. For an ill
or injured pet, the physical examination is the beginning of a full
evaluation of your pet, and the doctor will make recommendations on
further testing or evaluations needed prior to treatment in hopes
of returning your pet to normal health and activity.
